Position Objectives: Assist Dentist with patient care Primary duties: • Seat patients in dental exam rooms • Review patient medical history, take vitals • Chair side assisting • Processing radiographs • Sterilizing instruments • Stocking supplies in treatment rooms • Completing patients’ charts • Patient follow-ups via phone/in person • Writing necessary prescriptions for Dentist approval • Ordering supplies • Other duties as assigned Schedule: Part-time, three (3) days a week and one (1) Saturday per quarter Education Level: H.S. graduate or equivalent and must a Registered Dental Assistant with a current Texas license Experience Level: (Minimum): 1-2 years – Chairside assisting experience required Qualifications: Responsible, dependable and flexible with the ability to multi-task. Bilingual a plus but not required Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands include prolonged sitting, standing, talking, hearing and reaching. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Visual Demands include extensive reading (50% or more of job function) and prolonged computer usage. Mental and Emotional Demands include stress, time pressures and critical thinking. Pay: $20 - 25 per hour, based on experience
