The Joy of Treating Special Care Populations will cover what they didn’t teach us in dental and dental, dental hygiene and dental assisting school and how can we make treating an underrepresented population a win/win situation.
Participants will learn:
- Reviewing the disparity of care for those with developmental disabilities
- Learning some basics of how we start the journey towards health equity in our dental practice for those with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Dispelling the myths and fears of treating those with IDD
- Reviewing minimally invasive approaches towards maximal rewards and joy in dentistry
