THE POSITION:
This position is not just about treating patients in Long-Term Care Facilities but about making a significant difference in their lives. As a dental assistant, you will work closely with the DDS, clinical, and facility staff, providing essential assistance in the treatment process. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the residents' oral health needs are met, contributing to their overall well-being and quality of life.
REQUIREMENTS:
•A Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a chairside dental assistant is required.
•Valid Driver's License with no moving violations in the last five years.
•Willingness to travel within a 3-hour radius.
•Must have own reliable transportation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Transport, set up, and take down equipment and supplies in a room designated as a workspace by the facility.
•Work with contacts at the nursing home to coordinate charts
•Enter chart notes for treatment at the time of treatment.
•Maintain dental equipment through regular cleaning and maintenance routines.
•Inventory supplies and order as needed.
•Ship and receive denture cases from the lab daily.
•Additional duties as assigned

Bertsch Family Dentistry, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana is looking to expand by adding a hygienist to their growing practice. We are looking to hire a hygienist to work Monday - Fridays. Mondays thru Thursdays are 7:15- 4:30pm and Fridays are 8:15-12:30pm. This position is slated to open up full time January 2025 as we have a long time hygienist retiring. Currently we could facilitate a hygienist working Mondays and Fridays until then, if desired. Part-time may be considered.

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care
- Conduct thorough dental assessments and screenings to identify any oral health issues or concerns
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and treatment plans
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care

- Knowledge of aseptic technique to ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients
- In-depth understanding of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
