Matanzas Dental Group is now seeking a Dental Hygienist (RDH) in St. Augustine, Florida.
Drs. Gregory and Isabell Oxford of Matanzas Dental Group (Formerly Oxford Dental Associates) in St. Augustine, FL, are looking for a Full Time or Part Time Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our practice. This position offers highly competitive salary and benefits, as well as a Sign on Bonus (for Full Time only)!
We are a high end, top quality fee for service office. Our philosophy is, “Treat everyone like you would like to be treated.” Our practice focuses on patient education and delivering excellence in service and care to every patient. We are a multidisciplinary practice with five providers including a Periodontist, two General Dentists, and two Hygienists.
As a valued member of the team, the Dental Hygienist (RDH) will have flexibility to be either:
Four or five days a week (for Full Time)
or
One to two days a week (for Part Time)
Expected hours are 7:45am - 5pm (office closed for lunch from noon - 1pm).

Screening patients during check-ups
Reviewing patient's history
Administers prophylactic treatment by scaling and polishing

Use of X-ray
Instructing patients in oral hygiene technique and working with patients and their oral hygiene
Conduct screenings
Assist patients with oral hygiene
Qualifications include:
Active Florida Hygienist license required
Current BLS/CPR certifications
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
Minimum 1 or more years of RDH clinical experience

This role includes managing administrative/front office staff, coordinating office procedures, and handling various office tasks to support our office’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee daily office operations and maintain a safe and productive workspace.
-Develop and implement office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
-Provide administrative support to senior management and other departments as needed.
-Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, and prepare necessary documentation.
-Supervise and mentor administrative staff, providing training and performance feedback.
-Assist in preparing and managing the office budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective practices.
-Handle or oversee procurement of office supplies and equipment.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications.
-Facilitate communication between our offices and referring offices to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred not required).
Experience with Denticon software and periodontics (preferred not required).
Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role in a dental or medical office.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles (preferred) as well as an understanding of Dental insurance reimbursement and filing.
Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Customer service-oriented mindset.
