Qualifications Current Registered Dental Hygienist licensure is required; Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control training as required by law Understanding and knowledge of HIPPA privacy rules Must have high ethical standards and value patient care above all else Must be a service-oriented team player that maintains a positive attitude Excellent communication, customer service, and attention to detail. Key responsibilities: Conduct thorough oral examinations and assessments to detect and diagnose oral health issues. Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and root planning, polishing, and applying fluoride treatments and sealants. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in diagnosing dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations. Administer local anesthetics and other pain management techniques as needed. Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes. Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff. Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene through continuing education and professional development
