We are looking for a Front Office Coordinator to join our team 4-5 days a week. Fridays are optional. We are a busy, private family office in Pearland with one doctor and two hygienists who work to provide the best of care in a comfortable environment. We cultivate a hometown feeling in our office that keeps our patients coming back. We truly care about our patients, and we enjoy working as a team. We look forward to hearing from you. Qualifications: • Previous experience in Dental Front Office necessary. Previous experience in Dental Assisting is a plus. • Experience with Open Dental is a plus. • Understand dental front office procedures, dental coding and terminology, and best practices in treatment coordination, scheduling, and dental charting • Experience maintaining a professional level of patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA compliance • Excellent communication skills, problem-solving, organization, and exceptional customer service skills • Ability to multitask well Responsibilities: • Create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety • Maintain appointment schedules, coordinate patient treatment, oversee billing, and greet patients • Maintain a clean and welcoming dental front desk area • Greet patients warmly, ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed, verify insurance • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments and confirm all appointments • Calculate fees, coordinate financial agreements, and process payment including cash and credit card transactions • File insurance claims forms for completed dental care, determine billing codes, and follow up with dental insurance companies on outstanding claims • Prepare patient charts and daily schedules for the dentist, hygienists, dental assistants, and dental team members • Update dental charts and patient electronic records with x-rays, treatment plans, and financial/ insurance information
