A family owned dental practice with a positive, friendly environment is looking for a Part-Time Hygienist to become part of the team on 2-3 days per week basis, no weekends. Pay is competitive and negotiable. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Maintain a positive work environment and excellent customer service * Complete dental prophylaxis & oral cancer screenings * Administer local anesthetic agents when needed * Take x-rays utilizing digital x-ray equipment * Effectively communicate findings of oral exam with dentists * Educate patients on the importance of proper dental care and maintenance * Review dental charts in Dentrix Ascend and make necessary notes * Review patient medications and assess appointment needs * Prepare treatment rooms * Maintain/sterilization of instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment * Stock hygiene rooms with proper supplies * Contributes to team effort and goals of the office Qualifications: * Dental Hygiene State License * CPR Certification
