Description

We are looking for an experienced and professional Dental Assistant to join our general dental practice. The ideal candidate is skilled in a wide range of dental assisting tasks and dedicated to delivering top-notch patient care in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 1. Patient Support: • Seat and dismiss patients efficiently, ensuring comfort throughout their visit. • Schedule and review appointments with patients as needed. • Explain treatment plans. • Maintain patients in the chair during procedures. 2. Chairside Assistance: • Assist the dentist in all general dental procedures, following four-handed dentistry techniques. • Take x-rays with proficiency. • Effectively communicate with patients to enhance their understanding of procedures and post-operative care. • Maintain a calm, reassuring presence to improve patient comfort. 3. Sterilization and Lab Work: • Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and operatories. • Turn over rooms efficiently between appointments. • Perform basic lab tasks as required. 4. Administrative Support: • Utilize dental software programs to update patient records, schedule appointments, and maintain treatment plans. • Work as a committed team player with the flexibility to adapt to various tasks as needed. Qualifications: • Proficient in all aspects of dental assisting, including four-handed dentistry, sterilization, and radiography. • Basic lab skills and familiarity with dental software program Dentrix. • Exceptional patient communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. • Certification in dental radiography is required; completion of a dental assisting program is required.
