POSITION OVERVIEW As a General Dentist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care through comprehensive diagnoses and high-quality treatments to patients of all ages. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating a wide range of dental conditions, performing routine dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, endodontics, crown, bridge, partials and other basic and major general dentistry services and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. Additionally, you will collaborate with other dental professionals to develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's individual needs. With your expertise and compassionate care, you will help improve the oral health and overall well-being of our patients. In this role, it is essential to fully understand and actively engage in fulfilling the mission of Texas Dental and Braces. It is expected that the Dentist demonstrates behavior consistent with the core values of the company and supports its strategic plans, goals, and performance improvement initiatives. Adherence to all organizational expectations, including but not limited to customer service, patient rights, confidentiality, and environmental care, is paramount. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Advise and instruct patients regarding preventive dental care, the causes and treatment of dental problems, and oral health care services Examine teeth, gums and related tissue using dental instruments, x-rays, and other diagnostic equipment. Formulate plan of treatment for patient's teeth and mouth tissue Carry out clinical treatments, such as treating gum disease, restoring teeth affected by injuries, malformations or decay, and other services as needed. Administer anesthetics to limit the amount of pain experienced by patients during procedures Design, make, and fit prosthodontic appliances such as space maintainers, bridges, and dentures, or write fabrication instructions or prescriptions for denturists and dental technicians Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums and related oral structures, and provide preventive and corrective services Write prescriptions for antibiotics and other medications Maintain patients' dental records following standard operating procedures. Complete the minimum continuing education courses annually, as required to maintain licensure. Ensure individual and office Net Production and Office Collection goals are met, while also prioritizing patient satisfaction and encouraging efficient production time scheduling. Complete all documentation and coding as required for patient care and data collection and tx planning purposes. Participate in Texas Dental and Braces “Chart Audit” program and provide an objective assessment of peers. Collaborate with mentors to analyze clinical competency through provider scorecards, develop action plans, develop growth plans in one on one mentor meetings and achieve performance goals. Contribute to clinical SOP audits by providing feedback and proposing solutions to improve effectiveness and optimize procedures. Complete and sign off on all end day forms and clinical notes with timeline as per company protocols and doctor handbook. Adhere to Clinical and Business SOPs, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately and consistently. Follow TDB policies, including Production Time Scheduling and Time Off Requests, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and procedures. Co-lead and attend morning huddles, and monthly check-ins with the team to maintain effective communication and coordination within the practice. Attend and actively participate in weekly mentorship meetings to accelerate professional growth. Attend and contribute to discussions during monthly All-Team meetings to collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and stay informed about company initiatives. Attend and participate in TDB Team Building Events, Provider and Team Social Events, Networking, CE Development Events, Engage in Slack, Engage in Workplace and any other systems Perform related duties as required, including assuming full or partial responsibility for major projects and initiatives designed to support Texas Dental and Braces mission and core values. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY (IF APPLICABLE) The incumbent in this position has no formal supervisory responsibility. However, while in the clinic, they are expected to provide thoughtful leadership relative to dental services throughout the organization. Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD): Completion of a four-year program at an accredited dental school, earning either a DDS or DMD degree. National Board Dental Examination (NBDE): Dentists in the U.S. must pass the NBDE Clinical State Licensure: Dentists must obtain a license to practice in the state where they intend to work. Continuing Education: To maintain licensure, dentists must complete a certain number of continuing education (CE) hours periodically, depending on state regulations. Adherence to Ethical Standards: Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality, informed consent, and professional integrity in all aspects of practice. Surgical Skills: Ability to perform minor oral surgeries, such as extractions and biopsies, with precision and care. Prosthodontic Skills: Expertise in creating and fitting dental prosthetics, such as dentures, bridges, and implants.
