Description

Our Dental Hygienist plays a crucial role in assisting our dentists in providing outstanding dental care. Your responsibilities will include: • Perform all dental hygiene procedures including by not limited to: routine treatment procedures such as cleaning, polishing, x-rays, application of sealants and fluorides, and all related perio procedures • Support the dentist in developing and implementing individualized dental hygiene procedures for all patients and delivering the patient's education plan • Complete accurate charting of patients: perio charting and pre-existing • Work under the supervision of dentist in delivering the patient's education plan • Assist dentists in the performance of special tests, procedures and complex operations related to patient's dental care • Any other dental duties and procedures may be required by the clinic's dental director. • Take accurate notes on the provided treatment and teach proper oral hygiene techniques to patients • Sort and package instruments by tray for proper sterilization, following all OSHA guidelines: act as OSHA coordinator • Securely store and handle patient charts in compliance with legal requirements, including the HIPAA privacy and security regulations if applicable • Complete weekly autoclave testing & monthly supply orders • Assist in the administration of the recall system: schedule patients recall appointments
