PA Dental Arts is a family-oriented, patient-centered private dental practice. We are committed to providing the highest quality dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Our team is dedicated to fostering long-term relationships with our patients, ensuring that they receive personalized, gentle care at every visit. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing team. Open Monday-Thursdays and 1 Friday a month. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures (e.g., fillings, cleanings, extractions, crowns, etc.). Provide comfort and reassurance to patients before, during, and after dental procedures. Ensure patients are properly prepared for dental treatments, including reviewing medical history and taking vital signs when necessary. Clinical Support: Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment for use. Set up and clean treatment rooms between patient appointments. Assist with taking X-rays, impressions, and other diagnostic procedures. Manage dental materials, ensuring proper storage and inventory levels. Administrative Duties: Record and update patient information in dental charts. Schedule patient appointments and confirm upcoming visits. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the front desk area. Assist with maintaining office supply inventory and placing orders as needed. Patient Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions. Answer any questions patients have about their treatment or oral health. Qualifications: Education/Experience: Completion of an accredited dental assistant program preferred. Certification in Dental Radiology (where applicable). CPR certification required Previous experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting preferred, 2 years. Skills & Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to make patients feel comfortable. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment. Proficient in dental software Open Dental and digital record-keeping systems. Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
