Position: Dental Assistant/Floater We are a close-knit, community-centered dental practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients. Our practice values relationships – both with our patients and our team members. We are looking for a skilled and caring full-time Dental Assistant/Floater to join our team. This role is vital to ensuring our office runs smoothly and that our patients receive the highest level of care. As a Dental Assistant/Floater, you will help our team with various clinical and administrative duties, providing direct support to our dentist, while also playing a key role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our patients. You will be part of a practice that emphasizes personal connections, attention to detail, and patient satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: -Provide direct chair-side assistance to the dentist during procedures, offering hands-on support for patient comfort. -Set up and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards. -Assist in taking x-rays and provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. -Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring patient rooms are well-stocked and properly sanitized according to OSHA guidelines. -Assist with various administrative duties as needed to keep the practice running efficiently. -Answer phone calls and manage scheduling, confirming appointments, and rescheduling as needed. -Assist with data entry and updating patient records in our practice management system. -Help manage patient flow by ensuring rooms are prepared and instruments are ready, maintaining a calm and organized environment. Requirements: -Registered as a dental assistant in Texas. -Three or more years of experience as a dental assistant in general dentistry. -Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control protocols. -Familiarity with basic dental procedures and ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks. -Strong communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport with patients and the team. -Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a busy office environment. -A positive, friendly, and team-oriented attitude with a strong commitment to patient care. -Proficient with basic computer functions, practice management software, and patient billing. -A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of our patients and community.
