Our office is one exit north of the Mall of Georgia off I- 85 in Hamilton Mill (Dacula). See our website: www.LanierValleyDentistry.com We are looking for a PART TIME DENTAL ASSISTANT that has knowledge in all aspects of dental care. We are looking for an assistant who can perform many tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills that can grow with our practice while delivering the best oral care to our patients. This position will start on TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS only and possibly grow into adding Wednesdays. In addition to the skills set forth above, we require the following from our staff: -Be knowledgeable and fun! -Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment. -A very good understanding of computers and how to navigate them. We use Curve Hero dental practice management software. This is a new cloud based software – our office is completely paperless. We don’t expect you to be familiar with Curve Hero systems. -Communicating patient's medical history and taking blood pressure. -Outstanding knowledge of all dental procedures - A comprehensive understanding of the connection of oral health to general health and to be able to communicate these to the patient. -Describing dental treatment plans and ensuring patients understand treatment needs. -Taking digital dental radiographs -Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment. -Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., toothbrushing, flossing and nutritional counseling) coronal polishing and flossing. -Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, oral surgery, endodontics. Hours: Monday closed Tuesday 9:00 - 5:00 Wednesday 9:00 - 5:00 Thursday 9:00 - 5:00 Friday 8:00 - 2:00 **Please include a photo with your application/resume and a copy of any additional qualifications (ie BLS, diplomas, certifications).
