The Opportunity: We are looking for a super-star Dental/Surgical Assistant to join our thriving oral surgery practice. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter with superior customer service and organizational skills. Full-time position hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 7:15am to 5:00pm, Friday from 7:00am to 2:00pm, two Wednesday's and two Saturday's per month from 8:05am to 12:00 pm. Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): · Provide complete support to surgeon throughout routine in-office surgical procedures, in extractions, placement of dental implants, removal of pathological lesions, assist and monitor in procedures involving anesthesia such as IV sedation. · Basic knowledge of oral anatomy, teeth numbers, & names of dental instruments. · Participate in monitoring patient’s vital statistics during surgery. · Review pre-op and post-op instructions with patients. · Review patient health history and update practice management software. · Acquire diagnostic x-rays. · Prepare and break down surgical tray, materials, and operatory. · Maintain a clean and sterile work environment. Required Skills for this Role: · Must be able to adapt to a fast passed work environment · Must be friendly and be able to maintain a smile and positive attitude in high-pressured environments. · Must be prompt, reliable, committed, willing to learn and take direction well. · Superior organizational skills and be able to take initiative. · Must be a team player and work well with others. · Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize tasks. Experience and Education Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year of dental and/or oral surgery experience required Pay: $18-25 per hour based on qualifications and experience * Must have reliable transportation * All inquiries kept confidential
