Description Job Title: Dental Assistant Company: Peridot Dental Location: 3616 S Lancaster Road, Dallas, TX. Pay and Benefits: Commensurate with market rate/experience Benefits: Employee discount, accrued paid time off Job Type: Full-time Job Description: A competent and experienced dental assistant with front office experience who will make the dentist’s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and perform back office clinical AND front office dental tasks when needed. candidate must be well-organized with great attention to detail, able to work in a busy office must be a team player. Preferred individual MUST be Professional, punctual and committed. individual must be able to follow instructions, work with minimal supervision and respect dental office patients and staff. Necessary skills in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. SERIOUS CANDIDATES ONLY! EXPERIENCE A MUST Responsibilities: Welcome customers in the dental office Prepare patients for treatments or checkups while ensuring their comfort. Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed. Sterilize instruments according to regulations. Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry. Undertake lab tasks as instructed. Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Keep the dental room clean, well-stocked and, clean up at end of each day. Schedule appointments, verify insurances, present treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records and assist with treatment plans. Must be able to assist up front when needed. Necessary Skills Experience as a dental assistant. Must be able to take and pour up impressions, and make temporary crowns as needed. Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health and safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail, Well-organized and reliable Graduation from dental assisting school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g., EFDA) speak Spanish, a plus Expected Hiring Date: immediate. 8.45am - 5pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. 9.45am-6pm Tuesdays.
