Description

We are a smaller team private practice periodontics office with a focus on quality patient experience, quality time, and quality treatment rather than speed and patient turnover. We are searching for candidates that are polished, professional, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and demonstrate excellent chair-side manner and good communication skills with patients. We also are looking for candidates that work well together as a team. Duties will primarily include chair-side assisting during surgical dental procedures, assisting with sedated patients, taking intra-oral radiographs, operatory setup and turnover, and instrument sterilization. A typical day includes surgical procedures in the morning often with IV sedation (anywhere from 1 - 3 surgeries per day) and consultations / post-ops in the afternoon. Front office experience with answering patient / referring office calls and scheduling patients is valued in the position as this will be a cross trained position as well. Our surgical assistant schedule is Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Our office hours are by appointment only, Monday -Thursday 8AM - 5PM. We do not see patients from 12:00-1:00. Prior chair-side dental assisting experience is required and surgical experience is preferred - however all experience levels will be considered and we are willing to train in surgery. Compensation is hourly and is based on both existing experience level and performance. Hourly rate starts at 20$ per hour. We look forward to getting to meet you!
