Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Dental Assistant to perform expanded duties and ensure the highest standards of patient care within our state of the art general and cosmetic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of Dental procedures, and the ability to foster a collaborative environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our clinical operations run smoothly while providing exceptional service to our patients. Responsibilities Lead and manage the clinical expanded duty functions and clinical services, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among assistants and Doctor. Oversee daily clinical operations, including patient flow, appointment scheduling, and treatment coordination and promotion of dental services to patients. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff. Assist in the Training and mentoring of dental assistant team members on best practices in dental procedures and patient care. Utilize 3D scanner technology for accurate imaging and treatment planning. Monitor vital signs and assist in various clinical procedures as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft software and ensure compliance with terminology standards. Collaborate with Dentist to provide comprehensive care for all patients. Conduct regular assessments of clinical practices to identify areas for improvement. Skills Expanded duties function experience and certification Proficient in Dental terminology relevant to orthodontics and dentistry. Knowledgeable in vital signs monitoring and infection control practices. Experience with 3D scanning technology in clinical settings. Experience with general, cosmetic, Invisalign and oral surgery dental principles and practices is preferred. Understanding of prosthodontics as it relates to orthodontic treatment plans is a plus. Experience with Scan imaging technology and techniques is beneficial.
