Job Overview We seek a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be crucial in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must work well with children! Duties: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays). Schedule appointments and manage patient flow as a dental receptionist. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care. Qualifications: Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of Dental software is a plus for managing patient records (office uses Curve Hero) Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred. Job Type: Part-time Thursday Full day 10am to 7pm & every other Saturday 9am to 1pm. Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week Schedule: Rotating Saturdays Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Must be able to drive to Union, NJ 07083 (Required)
