Description

Open: Tues ~ Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and 1 Saturday 9:00 AM ~ 2 PM a month. We are a small private office in old downtown Grand Prairie and now recruiting a dental assistant to join our small team to serve neighborhoods in Grand Prairie, Arlington, Irving, Cedar Hill, Mansfield, Dallas area We are looking for Full time dental assistant. MINIMUM EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE - High school diploma or equivalent - active RDA required - X-ray certification required ** New grads welcome ** *** SPANISH speaking preferred *** DENTAL ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical Support - Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures - Taking dental x-rays and intra-oral photos - Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse - Providing patients with instructions for post-op care - Taking consistent impressions with a variety of materials Customer Service - Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment - Communicating with happy and unhappy patients - Coordinate appointments for patients who are referred to specialists office - Confident decision-making skills Organization & Systems - Ensure each dental suite is fully stocked - Create systems to streamline procedure set up - Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment - Lead by example and look to build efficiency in regular patient flow - Monitoring of lab cases to ensure all cases are ready at least one day prior to patients appointment - Regulate compliance with HIPAA guidelines and take corrective action with the support of management if necessary. Supply Monitoring - Ensure all materials and products needed to serve patients are readily available - Monitor supply levels and usage to avoid under/over ordering REQUIREMENTS Does not need hand-holding or micro-managing. Independent, self-starter. Identify problems and create solutions. Able to prioritize, handle multiple tasks efficiently Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Punctual and dependable.
