Family Wellness Dentistry is searching for a Registered Dental Assistant to add to our Team! We are hiring for a Permanent Position and are flexible 24-30 hours. Who We Are: Family Wellness Dentistry is private, fee for service, general dentistry practice delivering premium dental care and exceptional customer service to the people of West Plano & surrounding neighborhoods. Looking for candidates with 2+ years experience. Hours: Monday 7:45 am - 5:15 pm Tuesday 7:45 am - 5:15 pm Wednesday Closed Thursday 7:45 am - 5:15 pm Friday 7:20 am - 1:40 pm You must be prepared to stay up to 30 minutes after closing to complete all of your duties and get the practice ready for the next day if necessary. The office offers a full range of services including general dentistry, cosmetic procedures, implant placement/restoration, Invisalign, endodontics, and oral surgery. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys interacting with patients and strangers, someone who feels called to make an impact in people's lives, and someone who is willing to go the extra mile to accomplish a goal. The Ideal candidate is friendly, has good communication skills, hardworking, professional with a positive attitude, and flexible. A people person and team player who possesses great chair-side manners. An individual who will work well under pressure, respects and follows the hierarchy of command and will respect and follow policies and procedures. Must be organized, efficient, and infection control conscious. Responsibilities and Duties Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service to all guests Obtain patients’ dental records and verify patients history Maintain a clean and welcoming office iTero intraoral scanning Completing daily task list and equipment maintenance Assist doctor with all treatments, anticipating their needs Perform oral evaluations Assist with charting Minimum Skills: Open Dental Take full mouth digital x-rays and format them properly Intra-oral photos Making, cementing and adjusting temporary crowns Temporary fillings Packing cord Anticipate sequence of Dental Procedures Setting up and breaking down operatory Take dental impressions Making casts of the teeth and mouth from impressions Sterilizing and disinfecting dental equipment and operatories Mixing fillings and materials for impressions and restorations Use suction devices to keep patients’ mouths dry and clear Applying topical anesthetics to gums Instructing patients on post procedure care and maintenance Building rapport with patients Filling out lab prescriptions Dental Charting Coronal polishing Chairside assisting Custom Tray fabrication for bleaching Work environment/Conditions: Safety procedures and personal protective equipment required to minimize the risks from radiographs and blood-borne pathogens Potential of prolonged sitting and standing Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by people assigned to this work.
