Description
We are seeking an Experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our awesome team. We are looking for a caring, hardworking, reliable person who is dedicated to providing the best care possible to our patients and fostering our positive work environment. Duties include but are not limited to: - Assist orthodontist in clinical procedures, including but not limited to the placement of braces and appliances, placing and removing wires, and taking patient records (X-rays, scans, impressions, photos) - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments, ensuring a clean and organized environment - Take and record patient medical histories - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care for orthodontic appliances - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes - Follow aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality - Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and answering phone calls - Collaborate with the orthodontic team to ensure efficient and seamless patient experiences Skills: - Proficiency in chairside assisting techniques and orthodontic procedures - Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, equipment, and materials - Experience in documentation and record keeping - Understanding of dental terminology related to orthodontics - Knowledge of imaging techniques used in orthodontics - Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients - Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high standards of infection control If you are a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing high-quality patient care, we would love to hear from you.
