JOB TITLE: Sterilization Technician SUMMARY: Cleaning and sterilization of equipment and tools used in the clinic while providing excellent patient care and support to the team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment, tools, and working areas in strict accordance with sterilization/disinfection protocols and OSHA regulations. • Ensure the sterilization area of the clinic and all instruments are properly sterilized and available for continued orthodontic treatment. • Monitor clinic equipment and tool usage and prepare trays ahead of schedule • Clean chairside trays and prepare for the basic set up of instruments. • Assist Clinical Assistants, Faculty and Residents as requested. • Assist with maintaining overall cleanliness of the office. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: • This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED. • Familiar with OSHA requirements. • 2 – 3 years of experience required. • Certificates, licenses and registrations: Sterilization Tech Certification preferred. • Computer skills: Microsoft Outlook and Excel preferred.
