General Dentist in Farmer Branch looking for a full-time Dental Assistant. We are a family-owned practice known for quality dental care and long-term patient relations. Job Type: Full-time Job Location: Farmers Branch, TX Job Hours: From Monday to Thursday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Friday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm Job Duties: • Welcome patients in the dental office • Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort • Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests. • Take intraoral X-rays • Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist;; suctioning; passing instruments. • Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth. • Undertake lab tasks as instructed • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions • Documents dental care services by charting in patient records. • Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. • Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques. • Maintains dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies. • Conserves dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Skills and Qualifications: • Proven experience as dental assistant • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods • Understanding of health and safety regulations • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus • Good computer skills • Excellent communication and people skills • Attention to detail • Well-organized and reliable • Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) • Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred but not required: Dentrix References: Please provide professional references.
