We have a commitment to patient excellence as we provide state-of-the-art health care and quality treatment in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic, organized individual to work as a Surgical Assistant. As a part of our team, the Surgical Assistant plays a critical role in creating an exceptional patient experience. You will have regular interactions with patients, and co-workers throughout your day, therefore the desire to work with people and handle a dynamic workload are essential skills. Some examples include assisting the surgeon during procedures and administration of dental anesthesia, accurate recording of treatment information, and taking diagnostic x-rays and cone beam CT scans. Hours: Our usual office hours are Monday – Thursday 8am-4pm and Friday 8am – 2pm. However, our schedule is dependent on patient needs and may change from time to time. You must be able to start work as early as 7:30am. Examples of specific duties include assisting the surgeons with surgical procedures, sterilizing instruments, cleaning and setting up patient rooms, working with computers and electronic health records, and talking with patients to help them feel at ease. In addition, successful candidates will be able to: - Display confidence and sincerity in conversation with people from all walks of life - Maintain CPR certification - Produce accurate work, such as entering health information into patient records One or more years of experience working in an oral surgery practice is preferred, but not required. - Work interview will be required.
