PRIVATE PRACTICE - 1 Doctor - Hermitage, TN Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM / Paid Time Off / Paid Holidays $22.00 - $24.00 Hourly Pay Depending of Experience Job Description The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment areas, greeting patients, selecting instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act. Responsibilities include: Greet patients with a smile; prepare patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient. Assist Dentist with all procedures; positioning instruments for Dentist, access; suctioning; passing instruments. Sterilize instruments and clean treatment rooms. Prepare treatment rooms Record medical history for each patient Comfortably perform X-rays. Chart existing and recommended treatments in dental software. Maintain dental supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies. Occasionally assist with front office, answering phones and scheduling. Perform other duties as required to support the office.
