Description

DT-Trak Consulting, Inc. has won a contract for Dentist services for Zuni Comprehensive Community Health Center (ZCCHC) in Zuni, New Mexico. Services expected to start between March and April depending on background and credentialing clearance. The contract is one year contract. The Dental hours are between 07:30 AM to 05:30 PM. There are two tours: 07:30 AM– 05:00 PM and 08:00 AM to 05:30 PM. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Professional Development: • Graduate: Doctorate degree in the field of Dentistry. The contractor shall have graduated from an accredited school of Dentistry. • License/Registration: State License in Dentistry in good standing to practice dentistry from the United States or any US territories as required by I.H.S. • Experience: The Contractor must have a resume that provides experience that equips the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. o Knowledge in anesthetic and pharmaceutical requirements. Major Duties and Responsibilities, the Contractor shall: • Provides examination in advanced Diagnostic, Prophylactic and preventative dental procedures in the treatment of patients with periodontal disease and other related dental abnormalities. • Performs routine and minor complexity endodontics, includes 1st and 2nd molars, prosthodontics, periodontics, pedodontics, routine and complex oral surgery, and preventative orthodontic services. • Performs prosthodontics by examining patient mouth impressions, bite registration, for crown, bridges, dentures. Includes temporary setups in patient’s mouth and fitting and inserting finished appliances. • Administers local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and analgesia. • Educates patient about good oral health practice and participates in educational programs for improvement of health conditions. • Familiar with various dental equipment and its proper used for patient care. • Monitors preventative maintenance for all dental equipment and may complete minor repairs as needed. • Reviews patient medical records and dental history for evidence of past and present conditions for proper dental treatment. • Reviews and interprets x-rays to identify tooth structure. • Independently manage his/her own caseload of patient referred for dental evaluation and treatment. • Documentation in the electronic health record (EHR), other IHS forms related to each patient encounter in a timely manner, as well as providing necessary documentation related to billing. • Maintain satisfactory standards of competence in this profession (professional judgement, diagnosis for specific medical conditions or treatment). • Abides to all IHS and ZCCHC mandatory policies and procedures and attend any mandatory training requirements provided, includes all infection control standards and policy. • Knowledge of requirements in Quality Assurance and evaluation process to improve patient care and facilitate monitoring and program planning. • Physical demands will require long periods of standing and recurring bending and reaching. • Knowledge of oral anatomy, oral physiology and the principles and techniques of preventive dentistry.
