General, Cosmetic and Family Practice is looking for a team oriented DENTAL ASSISTANT. The candidate must be professional, enthusiastic with strong communication and organization skills. 5 years’ experience is preferred. Please do not apply if you are not a certified dental assistant with experience. About Our Practice: • Privately Owned/ 1 dentist/ 2 hygienists/ 2 dental assistants (you would be 1 of the 2) • Patient Care is our #1 Priority • Fee for service practice/ not high volume or insurance driven • Patient hours Mon-Wed 8-5 & Thursdays 8-2:30 Hours per Week: 32-34 • Westchase Area Responsibilities: • Assist the dentist during dental procedures • Keep rooms stocked • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment • Keep lab stocked and clean • Proficiency in taking x-rays and using dental imaging systems (Dexis) • Digital scanning experience • Invisalign Experience would be a plus • Implant Restoration experience would be a plus • Intraoral and extraoral photography experience • Explain to patients their treatment needs • Order supplies as needed • Performing other duties as required to support the office/team Requirements: • Expanded Functions Required • 5 Years Experience Required • Team Orientated is a MUST • Dental assisting certification (EFDA) and Radiology • Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix/ Asend/ Open Dental or other • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members • Like to talk with patients • Be able to effectively explain to patients why treatment is needed • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Be at the office by 7:35am * Be willing to have a background check if you are chosen for the position.
