Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental family. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and treatment to our patients, including preventive and therapeutic services to maintain their oral health. Hours are 7am - 3 pm on Mondays (for now). Hygienists have one hour appointments. Key Responsibilities: Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing teeth. Take dental radiographs (X-rays). Assess patients' oral health and provide recommendations for treatments and preventive care. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and the importance of regular dental visits. Document patient records and treatments in the dental software system. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed. Administer fluoride treatments and sealants. Apply dental prophylactic materials to prevent tooth decay and other oral diseases. Maintain a clean and sterile work environment in accordance with infection control protocols. Monitor and track patient progress and follow-up appointments. Stay updated on the latest dental hygiene practices and technologies. Provide support and reassurance to anxious patients. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent from an accredited program. Valid dental hygienist license in the state of practice. Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and techniques. Excellent communication and patient-care skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with dental software and digital radiography. Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to improving patients' oral health.
