They develop and implement procedures and policies for all administrative activities within the Dental Office. The Dental Office Manager will manage record-keeping, document preparation, reception, bill or invoice processing, maintenance services, technical support, project coordination/scheduling, and other related internal operations. QUALIFICATIONS: Plan and manage dental office operations to ensure excellent patient service and support Create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, safety, and help the team members to grow to their fullest potential Oversee daily office activities and provide support and assistance to the dental staff as needed Respond efficiently to patient and Dentist needs and inquires Resolve concerns/complaints from customers and team members Supervise both front and back-office teams and cover roles if necessary to ensure highest quality dental care for our patients Organize and maintain patient files and records, retrieve test results as needed for the dentist’s evaluation Oversee the selection of vendors and the purchase of office equipment and supplies and operating expenses Track and analyze operational costs and monitor budgets Recruit, train, and coach office staff to achieve optimal performance including team building activities and annual reviews Ensure production and hygiene schedules are optimized to meet SGA’s goals Review insurance coverage of a patient, submit claims and follow up with insurance companies when needed and manage accounts receivable Ensure all OSHA guidelines are met Perform marketing and public relations to promote dental office Oversee payment collections from patients and contact insurance offices for payment settlements Run reports and audits as needed or requested Other duties as assigned Must have’s you will need to be successful: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit Thoroughness and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively with dentists and Regional Operations Director to strategize and build the dental practice Ability to engage and communicate effectively with patients, doctor and staff Possess the ability to communicate with others in a courteous and professional manner Education/ Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred. 5+ years of progressive management experience At least three years of work experience managing a dental office and excellent customer service Strong understanding of insurance, billing, and treatment planning Dental software proficiency Physical/ Environmental Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
