Your contribution to the team includes: Perform clinical hygiene functions including, but not limited to: exposing/evaluating x-rays, oral cancer screening, prophylaxis, non-surgical periodontal therapy, fluoride treatment Educates patients on the importance of preventive care, the disease process and the role of bacteria; provides appropriate educational literature and instruction on home care Maintain accurate, complete digital documentation Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and Infection Control Training Sterilizes dental instruments Other related duties as assigned Requirements Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Professional and friendly with great chair side manner Outstanding communication skills Education/ Experience High school diploma or equivalent Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene Experience preferred Special Requirements/ Certifications/ Licenses Registered Dental Hygienist License Licenses required for this position must be kept current, valid, and in good standing with the presiding entity
