Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant with at least 2-3 years of experience working in a general dental office to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be reliable, motivated, and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during patient examinations and dental procedures, providing chairside support. - Prepare and organize dental instruments, materials, and equipment for procedures. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols. - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and the treatment area, adhering to infection control guidelines. - Ensure patients are comfortable and at ease during procedures. - Maintain accurate patient records and charting, documenting treatments and procedures performed. - Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary. - Provide patient education regarding dental care, hygiene, and post-treatment instructions. - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and insurance verification when needed. - Monitor inventory and assist in ordering dental supplies. - Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dental office setting. - Valid state certification and/or registration as a Dental Assistant. - CPR/BLS certification required. - Proficient in taking dental radiographs (X-rays). - Knowledge of dental office software of Open Dental (preferred). - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the dental team. - Ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with patients. - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
