Description

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, particularly in pediatric dentistry, and will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our dental team while ensuring a positive experience for our patients. Full Time: Monday - Thursday 7:15am - 5:15pm Part Time: Monday and Wednesday 7:15am - 5:15pm Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments. - Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. - Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. - Manage patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards. - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. - Conduct medical imaging as required, including X-rays and other diagnostic tools. - Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. - Support front office duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries. Experience: - Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a focus on pediatric dentistry being a plus. - Familiarity with dental systems and equipment is essential. - Knowledge of infection control practices and medical documentation standards is required. - Experience as a dental receptionist or in managing patient interactions is advantageous. - Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is beneficial.
