As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very pleased to offer a new opportunity to join our dedicated team as Senior Manager, Digital Design Operations.
The Senior Manager of Digital Design Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing a team of over 70 designers and managing 7 direct-report managers. This individual will drive operational excellence, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and develop a high-performing team to deliver consistent, high-quality digital design services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of applying lean and Six Sigma principles, empowering teams to make data-driven decisions, and creating an environment where bottom-up innovation thrives.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership -
Lead daily operations for the digital design organization, ensuring quality, efficiency, and scalability.
Establish and track performance metrics to achieve organizational goals.
Manage resources effectively to meet demand and deliver exceptional service to stakeholders.
Lean and Six Sigma Excellence -
Implement and sustain lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline workflows and reduce variability.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, lead initiatives, and measure impact using data-driven approaches.
Team Leadership and Development -
Inspire and coach 7 managers to grow their leadership capabilities and foster a high-performance culture.
Drive a team-wide focus on professional growth, collaboration, and engagement.
Develop and execute strategies for talent retention and succession planning.
Culture of Continuous Improvement -
Cultivate a bottom-up approach to problem-solving and innovation by empowering teams to identify and implement solutions.
Foster cross-functional collaboration to promote alignment, accountability, and knowledge sharing.
Decision-Making Empowerment -
Push decision-making authority down the organization to encourage autonomy and accountability.
Build frameworks and systems that enable frontline teams to make data-informed decisions.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in operational leadership roles, including direct people management.
Demonstrated expertise in lean and Six Sigma principles, with a track record of driving measurable process improvements.
Strong ability to inspire, mentor, and develop large teams, with a focus on building a culture of continuous improvement.
Proven success in enabling decentralized decision-making and fostering team ownership at all levels of an organization.
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
The ability to conduct up to 25% travel both Domestic and Internationally.
Base Pay Range: $95,000 - 115,000 with a 10% bonus (Actual pay may vary based on experience, performance, and qualifications.)
This position can be remote based on geographic location, but if candidate is located within 30 minutes from our Chicago, IL office then hybrid will be the expectation.
