Privately owned, State-of-the Art Dental Practice located in a first-rate superior location is looking for a full-time, outstanding dental assistant that is cross trained to be an administrator/Concierge to join our lucrative practice. This unique individual will be responsible for assisting the doctor in delivering quality care to patients and managing the day-to-day operations related to front desk business office operations. They are also responsible for the overall patient experience from the reception area through their clinical experience and back to the reception area. The assistant relies on customer service skills, clinical skills, and teamwork to ensure a successful experience for the patient. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a team environment, have a “can do” personality, and be able to complete their assigned work in a timely fashion. In addition, candidate must display open communication to co-workers and a commitment to patient satisfaction. Must be a highly skilled individual, a quick learner with the ability to multi-task. Responsible for scheduling, co-payments, treatment plan presentation, financial arrangements, work schedules to meet financial goals and reports on production goals. Essential Responsibilities: • Understand and demonstrate proper sterilization, biohazard and infection control procedures in compliance with protocol. • Demonstrate complete knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, maintenance, and proper tray setups. • Perform all chairside procedures efficiently. • Efficiently direct patient flow through teamwork and communication. • Perform all necessary lab procedures. • Uphold a positive rapport with staff members and patients at all times. • Demonstrate safe and cost-effective practices when utilizing supplies and equipment. • Assist office in achieving defined goals. • Other duties as assigned. • Answer incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette • Greet and check in patients in professional and friendly manner • Respond to telephone inquiries from potential patients. • Able to oversee patient appointments and scheduling of all staff doctors • Schedule, reschedule and confirm new patient appointments. • Promote care and appointment opportunities to patients seeking care • Understand dental insurance and how it works • Maintain flexibility regarding scheduling changes, communicating changes to patients, and staff. • Flexibility to support change, with varying schedules as necessary • Work to maintain full schedules and maintain office schedule flow • Collect co-payments and verify insurance coverage as appropriate • Prepare new patient charts accurately • Perform all necessary paperwork (i.e. patient charts, referrals, appointment cards, welcome packets and treatment plan forms). • Collect past due balances on date of service. • Present financial policies and arrangements accurately to patients • Must have insurance verification knowledge and insurance claim knowledge • Multi task is a must Requirements: • Registered Dental Assistant • Minimum 2 years on-the-job experience • High school diploma and demonstrated ability to assume dental assistant responsibilities. • Current dental assistant license is required • Demonstrate a working knowledge of dental records and documentation. • Ability to perform basic computer functions. • Comply with protocols and standards. • Exercise knowledge of dental instruments and terminology. • Support shared vision and values
