Job Title: Dental Assistant Job Summary: We are looking for a team player to join our dental practice. The ideal Dental Assistant candidate will be responsible for assisting the dentist during procedures, ensuring the office is organized and equipped, and providing excellent patient care. You will work in a dynamic team environment, helping to provide a smooth and efficient dental experience for patients. You must be a team player. Key Responsibilities: • Assist during dental procedures: Prepare and organize materials, instruments, and equipment for dental procedures. • Patient care: Welcome patients to the office, take medical histories, and explain procedures to ensure they are comfortable and informed. • X-rays and imaging: Take dental X-rays and assist with imaging procedures as directed by the dentist. • Sterilization and cleanliness: Sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to health and safety standards. • Recordkeeping: Update and maintain patient records, ensuring all information is accurate and current. • Patient education: Provide post-operative care instructions and assist patients in understanding their treatment plans. • Lab duties: Pour and trim molds, bleaching trays, implant temporization, lab cases, and ensuring that the lab stays clean and organized. • Office tasks: Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring the office is well-maintained. • Hygiene: Assist when needed. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; Dental Assistant certification preferred. • Previous experience as a dental assistant or in a healthcare setting is a plus. • Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology. • Ability to take X-rays and other dental imaging techniques. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Working Conditions: • Full-time position available. • Hours may vary based on the needs of the practice.
