Overview Small one-doctor private practice in Conyers seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. We offer employees PTO and paid holidays as a benefit. Looking for an assistant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience. We use Dentrix/Dexis for our dental and imaging software - good computer skills a must. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and medical documentation. Responsibilities • Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized environment. • Prepare treatment rooms by setting up instruments and materials for patient care. • Manage patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care. • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary. • Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Qualifications • Previous experience in a dental clinic is preferred (3 years’ experience), with knowledge of intra-oral scanning and sleep apnea being a plus. • Familiarity with medical records management and dental terminology is essential. • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. • Proficiency in infection control practices within a clinical setting. • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. • A positive attitude towards assisting patients and contributing to their overall experience at the clinic.
