Global Dental Relief is seeking Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, and Front Office professionals to join a week-long volunteer mission in San Martín Jilotepeque, Guatemala (ZIP 04012). Volunteers will provide essential dental care to children with no access to treatment, while experiencing the culture and beauty of Guatemala. Easy travel from Dallas, TX 75052. 2025 Volunteer Dates: - May 30 – June 8 - June 6 – June 15 - July 18 – July 27 - July 25 – August 3 - August 1 – August 10 Estimated Airfare: $500–$900 Program Cost: - Full itinerary: $1,880 (based on double occupancy) - Clinic-only option: $1,550 (based on double occupancy) What You’ll Do: - Provide dental exams, cleanings, fillings, and extractions - Treat children ages 6–18 from surrounding schools - Focus on treating permanent teeth and oral hygiene education - Work with trained and new dental assistants in a team setting - Rotate across 6–7 clinical chairs using portable equipment - Help each child receive 20–30 minutes of individualized care What You’ll Bring: - Current license or background in dentistry, hygiene, assisting, or front office - Flexibility to adapt to a hands-on, rural clinical setting - Enthusiasm for teamwork and global volunteer work Program Includes: - Lodging in a boutique hotel in Antigua and guesthouse during clinic week - All meals during clinic days and breakfast during sightseeing - Airport transfers and all overland travel within Guatemala - All clinic equipment, scrubs, PPE, and disposables provided - Cultural tours, farewell dinner, and support from bilingual local staff - Two trip leaders and dedicated U.S.-based volunteer coordinator - Return volunteer discount, GDR T-shirt, and water bottle About Global Dental Relief: Global Dental Relief is a nonprofit delivering free dental care to children worldwide, including Guatemala, Nepal, Mexico, Kenya, and Cambodia.
