Dental Assistant- $1000 bonusConfidentialAnn Arbor, MI 48108
We are a fast pace growing dental company seeking a Dental Assistant for our busy, family practice in Jackson, MI. We were founded with the goal of providing convenient access to high quality, affordable dental care for the communities we serve by empowering our team of highly skilled dental professionals. Our dental offices are designed with the entire family in mind. We see patients of all ages.
*Compensation & Benefits:*
* This is an hourly position based on experience
* Full benefits for full-time employment, including paid vacation, health insurance, dental care, and 401k.
* Monthly bonus potential as well
* $1000.00 sign on bonus at 1 year
*Responsibilities:*
* Assist the Dentists, performing the full range of chairside duties
* Perform preventive maintenance on dental equipment
* Manage dental supplies and records
* Make patients comfortable in the dental chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain dental records
* Hand instruments and materials to dentists, and keep patients' mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices
* Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, and prepare tray setups for dental procedures
* Sometimes prepare materials for making impressions and restorations, and process dental x-ray film as directed by a dentist
* Make casts of the teeth and mouth from impressions and clean and polish removable appliances
*Qualifications:*
* Knowledge of dental assisting (1 year a plus)
* Basic computer knowledge
* Knowledge of dental instruments
* Excellent customer service and leadership skills
* Ability to multi-task efficiently
* Knowledge of Dentrix
* Knowledge of treatment planning a plus
* Xray certification a plus
* Coronal polishing/sealant certification a plus
* Spanish speaking a plus
* No experience necessary. Willing to train the right candidate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
