They must also possess a strong worth ethic and excellent customer service skills, and be diligent when completing assigned tasks. In addition, they must work well in a team environment and be open to learning new processes.
The position will be responsible for some of the following tasks:
- Check in: greet patients, enter patient information into software system
- Check out: collect payment and schedule next appointment
- Assist with collecting past due balances- sending statements/calling patients directly
- Aid with treatment planning- presenting treatment options and discussing costs with patients, collecting funding and updating the ledger
- Call to schedule overdue recall patients, outstanding treatment, and broken appointments.
- Answer phones to schedule and assist patients
- Insurance verification and entering insurance information
This is a full time position and the hours are as followed:
Mon: 8:00 AM- 3:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM- 6:00 PM (with a 1 hour lunch from 1-2pm)
Wednesday: 8:00 AM- 3:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM- 3:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM- 1:00 PM (Friday schedule is not every week, and also not consistent. We plan to grow to 3 Fridays per month)

• Monitor turnaround time on all claims for payment and predetermination. Follow up if the claim is outstanding at the end of the 4th week.
• Determine the need and send x-rays, charting, narratives, and documentation with the claim when applicable.
• Process and mail predetermination as requested by patient but schedule appointment for 4 weeks from date pre det. Is sent. Contact the patient to make financial arrangements.
• Call or correspond with insurance companies to resolve delays in payment, requests for additional information or to discuss treatment that has been denied coverage.
• Handle all inquiries concerning insurance on a daily basis.
