Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist(s)
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. The position offers a flexible schedule with shifts available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, each being an 8-hour shift. Applicants can join us for all or some of the three days based on their availability.
The Ideal candidate(s) has a minimum of 1 year experience as an RDH in private practice, an outgoing personality, loves educating patients about dentistry, has comprehensive perio knowledge, and enjoys contributing to the team and patient experience.
Requirements:
Ability to educate patients on their unique oral health needs and desires.
Perform all hygiene clinical procedures to include prophy, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planning, sealants, fluoride, Itero, * Invisalign impressions and photos.
Communicate with doctor as to patients' possible areas for restorative, periodontal and needs.
Partner with the whole team to assist in whatever is required for an excellent patient experience. Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate patients.
A desire to embrace preventative centered care.
Effective Time Management abilities.
A current Virginia state license to practice dental hygiene (RDH) &Local Anesthesia License.
Comfortable using digital charting and x-rays, NOMAD, as well as CBCTs and Lasers
Patient Care (for this position) : Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8am-5pm
Paperless, fully digital, Gemini Laser, CBCT, Nomad, Itero 2.

Responsibilities:
The dental hygienist is responsible for performing licensed hygiene procedures, educating patients, and management of the nonsurgical periodontal program as directed by the dentist.
Establish and maintain continued patient care relationships.
Verify/document patient health history and educate patients about oral hygiene/health/disease as well as procedures and services offered.
Perform clinical hygiene functions including, but not limited to: exposing/evaluating diagnostic x-rays, taking and recording blood pressure, adult/child prophylaxis, non-surgical periodontal therapy, and co-assessing possible restorative treatments with the doctor.
Determine needs and perform sealant placement, Arestin, and fluoride treatments as needed.
Qualifications:
Dental hygiene certification from accredited dental hygiene school.
Current hygiene license where employed.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS and infection control training as required by law.
Experience with dental software.
