Dental Office Floater/Front Desk Assistant We are a busy, high-quality general dentistry office in downtown Chicago. We are seeking a full-time (4 days per week) office floater/front desk assistant to help with a range of both clinical and front desk activities. These duties will include assistance to both our clinical team, including our hygienists as our administrative team. Clinical duties will include helping to set up and break down and sterilize our operatories as well as helping with the sterilization of instruments. Dental office experience is preferred, including the ability to take digital x-rays. Knowledge of, and experience with ITERO digital scanning system is a plus. The right applicant will have experience preparing ortho patients, ensuring that they are comfortable and offering another set of hands for procedures. Assistants must help Orthodontist to clearly see problems and changes within a patient's mouth. This often requires taking x-rays of the bone structure of a patient's jaw, as well as taking photographs of the teeth.

*Responsibilities*
* Help Orthodontist prepare for procedures by having the necessary tools sterilized and in place
* Help keep a patient’s mouth clean and dry during procedures and hand the Orthodontist the necessary tools at the appropriate time
* Patient education; explain procedures and discuss treatment progress and plans
* This position will include all aspects of clinical dental care
