Essential Duties:
You will transport, set up, and take down equipment and supplies in a room designated as a workspace by the facility.

Maintain dental equipment through regular cleaning and maintenance routines.
Inventory supplies and order as needed.
Requirements:
A Current Registered Dental Hygienist License in good standing.
Five years of experience is required.
Valid Driver’s License with no moving violations in the last five years.
Willingness to travel within a 2.5-hour radius.
Must have own reliable transportation.
Ability to push/pull + or - 200 lbs. (ex. resident in a wheelchair).

\*Job Summary\*
As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by assisting the Periodontist(s) and ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients.
\*Responsibilities\*
- Assist the Periodontist(s) during procedures by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
- Prepare patients for surgery, including topical anesthetic, taking patient vitals, connecting heartrate monitors and placing IVs.
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures
- Handle dental assisting tasks such as taking impressions, pouring and trimming models
- Utilize knowledge of dental terminology
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
- Start clinical notes for the doctor and record all important information discussed during the appointment, including patient vitals, any drugs given to the patient (name and dosages), etc.
- Help clean and turnover rooms to prepare for the next patient.
- Help keep equipment and tools sterilized and organized
- Bring patients back from the waiting room to the operatory to prepare for their procedure. Be on top of what is happening with the schedule and help guide the doctor(s) as to where they are needed next.
\*Experience\*
- Previous experience in surgical dental assisting is required
- Proficiency in CareStack practice management software is advantageous, but not required
