Job Description:
General Practice is seeking an outstanding dental assistant to join our team! Our primary focus is excellent patient care while practicing dentistry with a relationship approach to our patients. We are looking for a high-energy individual who is friendly, comfortable interacting with patients, works well in a team environment and will grow with the practice.
Role Responsibilities:
You will be an integral part of the team with a wide range of responsibilities and opportunities for learning and growth. Your day to day responsibilities include:
• Prepare operatory for patient treatment
• Assisting the dentist during clinical treatment and procedures
• Monitors patient flow, and assists the organization in assuring that all patient records and documents are properly and accurately completed.
• Insures the sterility of all reusable dental instruments and equipment in accordance with dental department directive and protocol.
• Insures the proper disposal of all contaminated or potentially contaminated materials
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• X-ray certification preferred according to State and individual practices
• Past experience as a medical assistant, dental assistant, or in a customer-focused role desired
• Must have a desire to genuinely serve our patients and enhance their satisfaction and increase office efficiency. You must be able to positively impact patients, coworkers and the practice as a whole.
