We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in our patients' oral health by providing preventive care, educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive dental services. Our office is PPO/FFS in East Fort Lauderdale. Monday thru Thursday 9-5pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments, periodontal scalings and polishing teeth.
- Take digital dental X-rays.
- Perform periodontal assessments and charting.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on the latest dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Valid state dental hygienist license.
- Associate's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Experience with dental software and electronic health records is a plus.
