Job Description: We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly skilled Lead Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Dental Assistant, you will play a critical role in the success of our dental practice, providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical environment. You will oversee dental assisting operations, assist in complex procedures, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior dental assistants.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during dental procedures
Prepare examination and surgical rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring the necessary equipment is ready
Take dental X-rays and maintain patient records
Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist
Supervise and train junior dental assistants
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and reordering as necessary
Ensure compliance with all infection control and health and safety protocols
Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and satisfaction
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of dental assisting experience, with leadership experience preferred
Dental Assistant Certification required (state-specific certifications may apply)
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
Proficiency in dental practice management software (experience with Dentrix is a plus)
Spanish speaking is plus, but not mandatory
