Skill set MUST include the following:
● Ability to administer anesthetic (this course will be required upon hiring)
● Educates patients on the importance of preventative care, the disease process and the role of bacteria; provides appropriate educational literature and instruction on home care.
● Assists doctor during clinical exam and record findings and recommendations
● Prepares all treatment rooms including, but not limited to, set-up, decontamination, sterilizing and cleaning hand pieces and room - - restocks supplies
● Acts as a liaison between patients and doctors
● Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when exposed to stressful situations.
● Ability to engender trust from the doctors, co-workers, and patients.
● Proficient in using conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques to manage conflict
● Ability to explain instructions to others with less technical knowledge
Other desirable skills and experience include:
● Ability to take radiographs, including FMX, Pano and anterior PA’s.
● Skilled in the use of standard dental office equipment including: Autoclave, X-ray machine - Pano, Panoramic X-ray, ultrasonic, Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide, Laser, Intra Oral camera, Vacu-press, and hand pieces.
● Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks in a timely and independent manner
● Ability to quickly grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities.
Experience:
● Hygiene license
