POSITION OVERVIEW
As a General Dentist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care through comprehensive diagnoses and high-quality treatments to patients of all ages. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating a wide range of dental conditions, performing routine dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, endodontics, crown, bridge, partials and other basic and major general dentistry services and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Advise and instruct patients regarding preventive dental care, the causes and treatment of dental problems, and oral health care services
Examine teeth, gums and related tissue using dental instruments, x-rays, and other diagnostic equipment.
Formulate plan of treatment for patient's teeth and mouth tissue
Carry out clinical treatments, such as treating gum disease, restoring teeth affected by injuries, malformations or decay, and other services as needed.
Administer anesthetics to limit the amount of pain experienced by patients during procedures
Design, make, and fit prosthodontic appliances such as space maintainers, bridges, and dentures, or write fabrication instructions or prescriptions for denturists and dental technicians
Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums and related oral structures, and provide preventive and corrective services
Write prescriptions for antibiotics and other medications
Maintain patients' dental records following standard operating procedures.
Complete the minimum continuing education courses annually, as required to maintain licensure.
Ensure individual and office Net Production and Office Collection goals are met, while also prioritizing patient satisfaction and encouraging efficient production time scheduling.
Complete all documentation and coding as required for patient care and data collection and tx planning purposes.
Participate in Texas Dental and Braces “Chart Audit” program and provide an objective assessment of peers.
Collaborate with mentors to analyze clinical competency through provider scorecards, develop action plans, develop growth plans in one on one mentor meetings and achieve performance goals.
Contribute to clinical SOP audits by providing feedback and proposing solutions to improve effectiveness and optimize procedures.
Complete and sign off on all end day forms and clinical notes with timeline as per company protocols and doctor handbook.
Adhere to Clinical and Business SOPs, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately and consistently.
Follow TDB policies, including Production Time Scheduling and Time Off Requests, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and procedures.
Co-lead and attend morning huddles, and monthly check-ins with the team to maintain effective communication and coordination within the practice.
Attend and actively participate in weekly mentorship meetings to accelerate professional growth.
Attend and contribute to discussions during monthly All-Team meetings to collaborate with colleagues, share best practices, and stay informed about company initiatives.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Dental Assistant - Prosth. The Prosthodontist Dental Assistant works under a dentist’s supervision to prepare equipment that will be used in dentistry procedures, to ready patients for these procedures, and to help the dentist during these procedures by passing instruments, holding the suction catheter in place, and generally anticipating the dentist’s needs. Some Other responsibilities may include sophisticated functions such as removing sutures, processing x-rays and taking the oral impressions that are used to fit crowns.
Responsibilities:
Work under the direct supervision of the Prosthodontist
Perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties, including but not limited to providing chair-side assistance while dentists examine and treat patients.
Ensure patients are as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records.
Hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients’ mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, prepare trays of instruments for dental procedures, and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
Prepare materials for impressions and restorations, take dental x rays, and process x-ray film as directed by a dentist.
Handle other radiological equipment and assist patients with these procedures as directed by a dentist
Perform office duties as needed including: scheduling and confirming appointments, receiving patients, keeping treatment records, sending bills, receiving payments, and ordering dental supplies and materials.
Assist in specialty areas such as oral surgery, periodontics (treatment of gum disease) and prosthodontics (replacement of missing teeth) including dental implantology
Support and assist the hygienist as needed, including but not limited to cleaning trays, room setups and cleanups.
Help track the inventory of the prosthetic supplies and keep the storage closet organized.
Support the radiographic needs of the Patient Education Consultants, Oral Surgeon, & Hygienists.
Working Conditions:
Dental assistants work in a well-lighted, clean environment.
Work area is usually near the dental chair to allow for arranging instruments, materials, and medication and handing them to the dentist when needed.
Dental assistants must wear gloves, masks, eyewear, and protective clothing to protect themselves and their patients from infectious diseases.
Follow safety procedures to minimize the risks associated with the use of x-ray machines.
