Job Description:
The Dental Front Office Insurance Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth patient experience by managing insurance claims, verifying patient insurance benefits, and assisting with billing-related inquiries. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a strong understanding of dental insurance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments.
Submit and track dental insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
Follow up on unpaid claims, appeals, and denials.
Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries, including explaining benefits and out-of-pocket costs.
Coordinate and communicate with insurance companies to resolve issues and discrepancies.
Maintain accurate patient insurance information in the practice management system.
Work closely with the front office team to ensure smooth scheduling and billing processes.
Prepare financial arrangements with patients regarding their treatment plans and insurance coverage.
Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with patients.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental insurance coordination or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans, claims processing, and benefits verification.
Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
