- Promote an atmosphere supportive of good dental and general health by demonstrating proper oral hygiene, educating patients on techniques of flossing and brushing in accordance with protocol, effectively communicating oral hygiene instructions, nutritional counseling, and dispensing proper oral hygiene aids.
- Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures.
- Familiarize the patient with the aspects of their dental visit and provide support and compassion to that patient.
- Chart entire dentition and hard and soft tissue evaluation, including existing restorations, decay, perio charting and treatment documentation.
- Provide positive, professional leadership role; demonstrate positive patient/staff rapport
- Stock all needed supplies and maintain equipment.
- Successfully maintain recall system.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of applicable computer functions.

Job duties are performed in the typical office environment of the organization, which requires ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations. The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, frequently sit, and lift up to 25 lbs
Requires good hand-eye coordination, reach with arms & hands, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and manipulate (using keyboard, office equipment, dental equipment)
Visual acuity to use keyboard, operate office equipment, and read printed material and regularly required to talk and hear.
