Dentrix software and minimal computer skills are plus but not necessary.
This is a part-time position with benefits. Two or three days a week, flexible on days. Our office isn’t open on weekends, Monday to Thursday 7:30 -5 pm, Friday 8-1 pm.

In 2018, the Minneapolis Veterans Home built a state of the art fixed dental clinic with the support of various grant funds. This Dental Hygienist position is a new position as we develop and increase our service delivery model. Working with a contracted team of dentists – this position is primarily responsible for providing dental hygiene and preventative services to the 300 residents of the Minneapolis Veterans Home - and building the recare program which is a strategic goal of our oral health initiative in 2024. This position not only focuses on hygiene services to our residents, but includes the opportunity to provide training and support to our direct care staff in proper brushing and hygiene efforts.

Certified to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia in Minnesota and/or Wisconsin
Current CPR certification obtained through the American Heart Association health care provider course, the American Red Cross professional rescuer course, or an equivalent course.

The Dental Hygienist is a critical part of the Doctor-directed oral hygiene team. This role is responsible for patient education, the delivery of preventative and periodontal dental treatment, and patient database collection and documentation.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Requirements:
A current Minnesota or Wisconsin Hygienist License (dependent on location)
Certified to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia in Minnesota and/or Wisconsin
Current CPR certification obtained through the American Heart Association health care provider course, the American Red Cross professional rescuer course, or an equivalent course.
Work Schedule:
Wednesday - 630a-215p
Thursday - 130p-815p
Friday - 630a-415p
8 Saturdays per year
